Birnam Excavating in March won a $1.9-million contract for the second phase of water main replacement in the area of Vidal Street South and LaSalle Line.
A $9.9-million grant is helping cover costs of the joint project with Aamjiwnaang First Nation to improve water pressure in the area and that also includes asphalt replacement, Williams said in a report.
